The Royal Albert Hall is seeking a proactive, organised and solutions‑focused Senior Support Technician to take a leading role in maintaining and developing our technical equipment and workshop/storage spaces within the Production & Technical department. This role ensures our technical equipment is safe, reliable and ready to support the world‑class events that define the Hall.
We are home to extraordinary programming in music, dance, film and beyond, welcoming nearly two million visitors every year. Behind every breathtaking moment is a network of equipment, systems and spaces that must operate seamlessly - and you’ll be at the heart of keeping them running.
You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day management of our technical equipment, from coordinating servicing and inspections to maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring our workshop and storage areas remain safe, clean and well organised. With a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence, you’ll help safeguard the technical backbone that underpins every performance.
But this role is about more than maintenance - it’s about collaboration and presence. You’ll work closely with colleagues across lighting, audio, rigging, staging and administration, maintaining an active presence during key onsite activity such as maintenance periods, inspections and complex load‑ins and load‑outs. You’ll build strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, respond quickly to repairs, and support the wider team in delivering a smooth, professional technical operation every day.
You’ll champion safety and organisation, contributing to risk assessments and method statements, leading servicing periods, and ensuring all technical areas meet the highest standards of compliance and care. Your work will help create an environment where our teams can thrive and our visiting artists and promoters feel supported.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals wishing to further their career in the Production & Technical sector at a world-class venue.
