The Royal Albert Hall

For nearly 150 years we have been inspiring artists and audiences worldwide with the magic of the iconic Royal Albert Hall; creating life-enriching, unforgettable experiences for everyone.  Hosting over 380 events in the main auditorium and more than 400 in other smaller spaces, it stands true to the vision of Prince Albert in promoting an understanding and appreciation of the Arts and Sciences.  As a charity the Hall is dedicated to maintaining the Grade 1 listed building and to giving access to all, through an eclectic mix of events, a thriving education programme and a range of daytime activities. 

The Role

We are looking for Stewards to help us with our exciting festive period. You will have a genuine passion for providing fantastic customer service, both as an individual and as part of a team. You will enjoy engaging with people; especially families, acting as an ambassador for the Hall and promoting its facilities and services across this busy period.

Previous experience is not essential but you will have a positive, proactive and confident approach to ensure the welfare and safety of our visitors, including key responsibilities during an emergency.

As part of this role may be asked to dress up in a festive outfit, assist in the selling of merchandise and you will be expected to work across Christmas and the New Year period with the following contracts available:

80 hours per month, availability required Monday to Friday inclusive

60 hours per month, availability required Friday evening to Sunday inclusive

Group Interviews will take place week commencing 28 October. If successful, your contractual hours of either 60 or 80 per month will begin from 1 December. Successful candidates will be required to attend 2 mandatory training sessions. These will be held in the afternoon on Wednesday 15 November and Wednesday 20 November.

In addition, you will need to be available between Wednesday 15 November – Thursday 31 November to complete five shadow shifts
