Role Outline

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most recognisable and best loved entertainment venues with an unrivalled history of world-class artists and performances.

In this stand-alone role in which the Procurement Manager will lead and advise on the Royal Albert Hall’s procurement activities and will play a key role in the procurement of a wide range of goods, works and services for the Hall’s diverse requirements; this will include small costed goods through to high value projects.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Administration, the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include implementing the Hall’s procurement strategy and policy and developing templates and guidelines for end users. Vital to this role will be supporting and training staff to ensure the Hall can effectively deliver its ambition for high quality, collaborative and sustainable procurement function.

We are looking for someone who can build on successful relationships, communicate effectively and persuasively, and think analytically and creatively. The right candidate will hold a procurement qualification (MCIPS or similar) or working towards one, with a successful background of consistent achievement in procurement and contracting, including managing low-value to high-value and complex procurement requirements from start to finish. Experience of implementing a procurement strategy and achieving cost savings and efficiencies is essential.
