Role Outline

Integral to the building is the Production and Technical department who are responsible for the preparation, set-up, and operational requirements of every event across the Hall from the Main Auditorium, to Beyond the Main Stage areas including the Elgar Room and other spaces within the building.

The Production and Technical department are excited to announce the recruitment for a Resources Technician role to join a successful and developing team. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with knowledge and experience of live-event related technical equipment including rigging, lighting, audio, AV and staging. This role will primarily serve the space to ensure smooth warehouse operations that support the members of the department and help deliver the Hall’s busy calendar of events.

Building on past experience, the successful candidate will go on to develop procedures to improve on the efficiency and safety of operations and implement asset management and equipment tracking systems.

Ideal candidates will have experience within a warehouse environment working for a technical theatre supplier (or similar), as well as some experience working within technical teams on live events.

The role will require the successful candidate to be able to work 37.5 hours per week, over seven days a week at various times according to the demands of the Hall’s events, including evening and weekend if required. Candidates must be physically fit enough to be able to undertake the required duties and self-motivated with an ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.

Good IT skills, numeracy and literacy are essential as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work successfully as part of a productive team.
