Role Outline

The Royal Albert Hall is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organisational, communication and administrative skills to assist and contribute to the Hall’s dynamic Philanthropy team and programme of Philanthropy events.

The Philanthropy team is responsible for raising significant funds in support of the Royal Albert Hall and its charitable objectives to preserve the Grade 1 Listed building and promote the arts and sciences. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the future success of the Royal Albert Hall and for someone who would like a career in fundraising.

The Philanthropy Assistant will have a key role in coordinating administration for our Trust and Foundations applications, as well as leading on the Hall’s Public Campaigns, ‘Gift with Ticket’, ‘Tap to Donate’ and restaurant donations. Other responsibilities will include updating the Philanthropy website page and supporting the Philanthropy team with financial reconciliation, donation recognition, reporting and event administration. They will be required to work the occasional evening and weekend, with time back in lieu as per the Hall’s TOIL policy. The Philanthropy Assistant will report to the Senior Philanthropy Events Manager.

Experience in fundraising, including working on Public Campaigns or supporting events are all desirable.

The successful candidate will be skilled at writing in a compelling and persuasive manner. They will be a quick learner who can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with excellent organisational and communication skills. They will be experienced in carrying out administration and the use of databases (or display the ability to learn these skills).
