The Royal Albert Hall is recruiting for Casual Crew to join our Production and Technical team.
Integral to the daily operation of the building is the Production and Technical department who are responsible for the preparation, set-up, and operational requirements of every event across the Hall from the Main Auditorium, to the Beyond the Main Stage and Engagement areas including the Elgar Room and other spaces within the building.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced working in events, working at similar venues or other fast paced environments.
The role involves supporting live events through the safe handling of heavy staging and general equipment, setting up orchestra layouts, and organising arena seating configurations, while assisting with event load-ins and loadouts. You will carry out painting and cleaning tasks as required and undertake any other duties assigned by the Stage Team, Event Managers, or Crew Chiefs to ensure events run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role, including working irregular hours, with a strong awareness of Health and Safety procedures and the ability to follow all processes. Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, overnight shifts, weekdays, and weekends is essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to follow instructions quickly, work effectively within a team, take initiative when required, and communicate clearly. A basic understanding of theatre, staging, or similar team-based environments would be an advantage.
