The role

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Programming Administrator to join the Programming and Education & Outreach team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, to support the smooth running of all our event spaces across a wide range of uses. This role will manage the bookings of the Hall’s event spaces beyond the main stage for events other than performances, delivering excellent and professional customer service to internal and external users of these rooms. The ideal candidate will also support the Artistic and Commercial Director, Head of Department and wider team through organisation of departmental administration.

The responsibility for hire of our various event spaces will start from initial enquiries and site visits, through to contracting, invoicing and delivery, ensuring the Hall’s diary is accurate at all times. They will be involved in helping set and negotiate hire rates, producing marketing materials, reporting on use of these rooms and suggesting developments for this income stream. There will also be some opportunity to deal with hire enquiries for artistic events in our main auditorium, liaising with promoters and conducting research as necessary. Working as part of the Programming and Education & Outreach team, they will maintain seamless and efficient administration processes and review these as necessary, keeping close links with all departments across the Hall.

The person

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail with proven administrative experience to a high standard and initiative to take charge of the day-to-day running of this area of the Hall’s business. With superb relationship-building skills, they will quickly gain rapport with a number of stakeholders including internal staff, promoters, artists and public customers, dealing with all interactions in a confident, professional and timely manner.

Applicants should have an active interest in music (and other art forms) and previous experience working in the arts would be beneficial.
