The Royal Albert Hall has an exciting opportunity available within the newly formed Audio team having recently taken the delivery of all aspects of audio in-house. This will enhance the audience and artist experience and enable the Hall to provide a world class audio system for the world’s most famous stage.

The role

The Audio Project Managers work closely with the Audio Manager, and other members of the Production and Technical department, to provide and manage all audio requirements for events at the Hall. This will include the management of the Hall’s sound systems and when necessary organising external equipment hires.  

The role will be the first point of contact for all sound requirements, for shows within the Main Auditorium, and additional performance spaces around the Hall. They will be responsible for advising external and internal clients on audio requirements, managing the budget for own-promoted shows, quoting for equipment hires, and developing relationships with promoters and engineers within this new service. Ensuring we provide an unforgettable audio experience for audiences and artists worldwide.

The person

The successful candidates will have extensive experience working in a live events audio environment, with experience of working in large scale venues, a proven relationship with industry manufacturers as well as a positive reputation among the audio community.

They will have experience of managing multiple projects, an understanding of digital audio technology and current trends within the industry. They should have excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a solution focused attitude.
