Role Outline

The Royal Albert Hall is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and relationship building skills to assist and contribute to the Hall’s growing major gifts work within the Philanthropy team.

The Philanthropy team is responsible for raising significant funds in support of the Royal Albert Hall and its charitable objectives to preserve the Grade 1 Listed building and promote the arts and sciences. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the future success of the Royal Albert Hall, including an estate-wide capital appeal, and for someone who would like to take the next step in their fundraising career.

The Philanthropy Coordinator will play a key role in the major gifts function of the Philanthropy team, delivering campaign administration, keeping the database up to date and supporting senior colleagues to build deep and long-lasting relationships with philanthropists and Trusts and Foundations. They will be at the heart of administrative delivery for Philanthropy, responsible for financial reconciliation, Gift Aid and pipeline reports. They will also be the administrative contact for an engaged Philanthropy Board, coordinating meetings and minutes. Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager, they will be supported to develop their own portfolio of mid-level donors and deliver the new legacy fundraising strategy.

They will be required to work the occasional evening and weekend, with time back in lieu as per the Hall’s TOIL policy.

The successful candidate will be a quick learner, can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, have excellent organisational and communication skills and be experienced in carrying out administration and the use of databases. They will show the ability to communicate with tact and discretion, be confident handling financial information and reports, and be a creative problem solver.

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.

The closing date for all applications is 1 June 2025.

Provisional dates for interviews are:

First round interviews: Thursday 5th and Friday 6th June 2025
